Fabienne is an open minded individual both personally and professionally. She believes that through diversity and difference, the best outcome emerges collaboratively in the personal realm, in the community, and in social terms. This perspective has been cultivated by her following diverse paths such as biology, psychology, and education. That is why also as a psychologist, she permanently studies various approaches such as constructivism, psychoanalysis, psychodrama, community psychology, among others.
Her professional passion is committed to young people and young adults, who always require, especially today, that adult role models gamble for them in an authentic, respectful and creative way. Fabienne has over twenty years of experience dedicated to this cause through secondary and university teaching, and by designing and implementing strategic programs for example in vocational fields, promotion of integral human development and prevention of risky behaviors, among others. These programs are multidisciplinary and designed to foster active learning by encountering nonnative communities through service learning experiences. These experiences have preventive and therapeutic effects on the participants due to the dynamic contribution and construction of each person’s unique individuality, thereby adding more meaning and purpose to one´s life itineraries.
Fabienne holds a degree (Licenciatura) in psychology from Central American University of Social Sciences in Costa Rica, and she has extensive experience in individual and group therapy. She is in the process of obtaining a Master’s of Educational Technology at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. She hopes to design programs that incorporate the potential for educational innovation through the digital world, which has an imminent impact on the way young people relate and learn today.
Fabienne works with great enthusiasm at the Bridge because its innovative model of Supportive Immersion organically articulates many of the edges she has embraced throughout her life. In addition to study and work, other things that fascinate Fabienne are: scuba diving, camping in national parks, planting trees, being with family and friends, but above all do many pranks with their nephews, who call her Tía Travesura…
