I was born in Costa Rica and grew up amidst the green mountains of Vermont, a contrast that cultivated my deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of nature and community. Like tending a garden, my professional journey has been about planting seeds, nurturing growth, and harvesting knowledge to share with others.
As a psychologist with a degree in clinical psychology, I initially focused on understanding the individual mind. However, my master's in psychopedagogy led me to embrace the broader landscape of education and experiential learning. I’ve enriched my expertise through several summer teacher trainings in Mexico, where I delved into Waldorf pedagogy, emphasizing experiential and holistic approaches to education. Beyond psychology, I am a certified permaculture designer. My specialization in social permaculture reflects my passion for fostering healthy relationships and community resilience. Just as permaculture designs sustainable ecosystems, I strive to nurture systems of human connection that are regenerative and adaptive. |

I am also the founder of Luduspsico, a project dedicated to rethinking emotional health through innovative, accessible tools. From Costa Rica’s rural communities to corporate environments like Amazon, I have shared practical strategies for fostering well-being. One of the fruits of this effort is “Desenredando Nudos”, a game designed to teach emotional regulation, social-emotional skills, and rapport-building through play.
My work is deeply rooted in the belief that human development mirrors the cycles of nature: it requires patience, intention, and care. Whether nurturing the minds of students or cultivating connections within communities, my purpose is to help others grow into their fullest potential.
In my personal life, I embrace the simple joys that life offers, cherishing every moment. I find fulfillment in the company of my dogs and my partner, sharing the warmth of family time at our little farm where we grow a variety of plants. I also take pleasure in cooking and baking, which brings creativity and connection to our home. I truly enjoy living the easy, slow-paced pura vida lifestyle, savoring the beauty of nature and the tranquility that comes with it. |
