For nearly 15 years, The Bridge has partnered with young adults navigating life's major transitions. Throughout this journey, one underlying question kept resurfacing: Why are so many capable young adults feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck?

To explore this challenge, we are excited to release our new research-informed animated film, Building Response-Ability: A Maker Space for Life.

Drawing on over a decade of hands-on practice and an outcomes study of The Bridge, the film examines how experiential deprivation impacts emerging adults today. It also highlights a path forward through Response-Ability: the deep confidence that grows when young adults discover they can navigate real-world challenges through hands-on experience, reflection, and supportive coaching.

Whether you work in education, gap year programming, mental health, or youth development, this film offers a fresh lens on preparing young people for independence.

What experiences have you found most effective in helping young adults build resilience? Watch the film above and join the conversation.
