Learning Through Daily Practice and Shared Responsibility

At The Bridge, independent living skills are developed through the natural rhythms of daily life. Because our community thrives on shared participation, students take ownership of key responsibilities—from meal planning and grocery budgeting to house maintenance and scheduling group activities.

Through our Supportive Immersion approach, mentors work alongside students to coach time management, decision-making, and executive functioning. Students also participate in a weekly, hands-on Life Skills Workshop led by local specialists—learning practical skills like automotive upkeep from a local mechanic, healthy meal preparation from a nutritionist, or personal financial management.
