At The Bridge, the Landmark Project marks a pivotal milestone in each student’s supportive gap experience. Young adults identify a need, design a concept, plan the logistics, and take responsibility for bringing their vision to life.
For her Landmark Project, Allie supported a visiting team of girls from the Brörán Indigenous community of Térraba who traveled to play in a local soccer tournament.
Leveraging her artistic talents, Allie created custom, handmade gift bags filled with snacks, drinks, fidgets, and art supplies for the players. Beyond preparation, she helped host the group, spending meaningful time sharing creative interests and cheering them on throughout their visit.
Allie’s initiative highlights how leadership, planning, and creativity intersect to foster genuine community connections. That is the core of a Landmark Project: recognizing what you uniquely bring to the table and taking action to make a difference.
